AllianceBernstein Launches Select US Equity Portfolio In Europe

AllianceBernstein, the asset manager, has launched its Luxembourg-based Select US Equity Portfolio in Europe, a fund which focuses on large- and mid-cap stocks while applying grassroots analysis and macro insights.

Kurt Feuerman, who joined AllianceBernstein in June last year from Caxton Associates, will manage the fund, which invests in 25 to 75 stocks and is benchmarked against the S&P 500.

Five analysts will also support Feuerman, who has nearly 30 years of industry experience, the firm said.  

The team will target companies with strong earnings growth combined with reasonable valuation, transparent business models and strong management teams, along with “shareholder-friendly” corporate actions in dividends and share buybacks.

“In our view, slowing economic growth, if it occurs, does not necessarily mean bad times ahead for stocks. It would, however, have a major impact on which types of stocks outperform,” said Feuerman.

“We manage the portfolio dynamically and respond by tilting towards the most advantageous opportunity set,” he added.
